Calculator inputs, journal records and local preferences

Numbers you enter into the calculators and simulators are used by page code in your browser to calculate results. RiskKit does not provide a form that submits those numbers to our own server. If you share a screenshot or email us your numbers, that is a separate action you choose to take.

The Trade Journal stores the close date, instrument label, R-multiple result and optional note for each entry in this browser's local storage. The journal uses those records to calculate statistics locally. When you open a linked calculator, a temporary summary is passed through this browser tab's session storage and removed when the destination page reads it; trade entries and summary values are not put in the page URL or sent to RiskKit or Google Analytics. Browser storage is not encrypted and may be visible to people who can use your browser profile. Exported backups are ordinary JSON files; keep them somewhere private. Clearing browser site data removes the saved entries unless you have a backup. Imported or exported data remains under your control.

The simulator's Save scenario button stores only the displayed model assumptions in this browser's local storage. Copy share link puts those assumptions in the link's query string so anyone receiving the link can read them; it does not include a random simulation result or Trade Journal records. Avoid sharing a link if you regard its assumptions as private.

The light/dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key riskkit-theme. You can remove it using your browser's site-data controls.

Site delivery and reference data

When your browser requests a page, the hosting and network providers can receive standard technical information needed to serve and protect it, such as an IP address, requested URL, browser details and security signals. Cloudflare may set security cookies, including __cf_bm, for bot protection. See Cloudflare's cookie information.

The homepage requests reference rates from Coinbase's public exchange-rate API. If that service fails or returns incomplete rates, it requests daily fiat reference rates from Frankfurter at api.frankfurter.dev. Requests can occur on load, when you choose Refresh, and periodically while the calculator remains visible. They do not include your calculator entries, balances, trade history or saved scenarios. As with other web requests, the service and its delivery infrastructure receive the connection information needed to return a response, such as your IP address and browser headers. Frankfurter's fallback provides daily fiat references, not live crypto or broker quotes; its observation date is displayed beside the calculator. If a required conversion is unavailable, the calculator withholds the position size. Historical Bitcoin prices, historical exchange rates and US inflation data are served as files from this website. Using those historical calculators does not send your inputs to the original data providers. The Bitcoin and inflation pages identify the sources and the period covered by each dataset.

If you email us

If you contact celltinod@gmail.com, we receive the email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use that information to read and respond to your request and handle related follow-up. Email is processed through the provider of that mailbox. Please do not send passwords, account credentials or sensitive brokerage documents.

Analytics, advertising and consent

RiskKit uses Google Analytics 4 on its pages only when a visitor chooses “Accept analytics.” Analytics helps us understand aggregate visits, traffic sources and which tools are useful. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded before that choice; visitors who reject optional analytics are not sent to Google Analytics. We do not send calculator inputs, account balances, trade symbols or simulation values to Analytics. After consent, a tool_run event can report the tool's non-sensitive name and page path when a visitor submits a calculator; it does not contain the entered values. Other data may include page URL and title, referrer, device/browser information and page views; Google processes it under its own privacy terms. You can change this choice anytime using the “Privacy choices” button. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

RiskKit also uses a Google AdSense tag on the homepage, simulators, calculators and guides. That tag contacts Google when those pages load; Google may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser details and page URL. One labelled display-ad placement is reserved on each of those pages, away from calculator inputs and simulation charts. Ads can appear only after Google approves the site. Where advertising is served, Google and participating advertising vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to provide and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted by your choices. Manage Google ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings. Google AdSense Privacy & messaging provides a consent message for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, with Consent, Do not consent and Manage options choices. The message identifies participating vendors and links to this policy; Google adds a privacy and cookie settings link where the message is displayed so choices can be revisited. We will update this policy if the providers or data uses change.

Your choices and questions

You can clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential security cookies may affect access to the site. You can also avoid sending information by not emailing us. US state privacy choices

On pages that load the AdSense tag, visitors in US states supported by Google's Privacy & messaging may see a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. The linked Google message lets eligible visitors communicate an opt-out choice for the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. Google handles the resulting signal for its advertising services. This is separate from the consent choices offered to visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Tool-use measurement update · 10 October 2026

With optional Analytics consent, we measure successful calculator submissions and actions such as saving, loading or copying a scenario link, comparing sizing models, running a loss stress test and exporting chart data. These events contain an allowlisted tool name and page path, not balances, risk percentages, random seeds, journal entries or the copied link. Page URLs sent by our Analytics configuration exclude simulator assumptions and retain only campaign attribution parameters. Referrer URLs are sanitized in the same way.

In Privacy choices, the “Exclude this browser from Analytics (owner / testing)” checkbox stops our Analytics collection for that browser. This local preference is not account-wide, must be set in each testing browser, and does not remove past data. Local development hosts are excluded automatically. Visitors who reject Analytics remain unmeasured; reports therefore represent consented, non-excluded traffic, not every visitor. GA4's ordinary session and returning-user measurement can distinguish repeat use, subject to cookie availability and the visitor's choices. This Analytics exclusion does not disable advertising or site-delivery logs.
